Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in an LA Traffic Collision

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The celebrated industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, as reported by.

"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts said.
