That Gruesome Cartoon Film Ending That Lingers Viewers

Out of every mature cartoon movies I have ever viewed, no other has lingered in my mind as much as the dread-soaked conclusion of a graphically gory and highly provocative 2022 movie Unicorn Wars.

Back in the year 2015, the Spanish writer-director created a grim, melancholy , frequently brutal world with a few small , desolate twinges of hope.

Although The Unicorn Wars appears as it originated from a drive to expand the medium even more, the director stated that it was actually an effort to convey a global, cross-cultural message regarding “the mutual source of each battle.”

That idea is communicated via a band of vividly colored bears , clearly inspired by a well-known line of lovable characters.

Maturing in a culture built around militarism and the defense industry, many of these animals are obsessed with slaughtering unicorns, because of a holy book which states the bears they previously were masters of the woodland, until these creatures forced them out.

A few have not completely accepted the brainwashing, and would rather experiment with drugs or fornicate in the forest.

In contrast to their gentle counterparts, these bright beings display sexual organs and definite libidos.

For a certain particularly cruel, pessimistic creature, Bluey, the war against unicorns transforms into a path toward dominance — and particularly to supremacy above his more tender, more compassionate sibling Tubby.

The character behaves aggressively and an obvious sociopath , and as horror dominates his unit and takes his comrades one by one, he grabs progressively influence personally, via progressively violent, harmful methods.

At the same time, the horned creatures are enduring their own horror, in the form of an expanding, harmful creature in their habitat.

“In the early stages, it appears as a comedy,” the filmmaker commented. “But then it evolves into a more dramatic and sorrowful film. And in the finale, it transforms into a terrifying movie.”

Unicorn Wars commences feeling a bit like one of the most whimsical films from an iconic filmmaker, that discover a wicked pleasure in letting drawn beings curse, fire weapons, or sex each other up.

Then it becomes closer to a bleaker movie from that artist, featuring progressively graphic violence , a palpable link to the actual horror of conflict.

By the end, it is a full-on theatrical horror bloodbath.

The terror that turns this a perfect Halloween watch starts much sooner than one might expect.

The Unicorn Wars is one for the devoted gorehounds, for enthusiasts of graphic films who desire to view a film they’ve never seen on-screen before, and can endure a plot that offers absolutely no punches.

See it in a dimly lit space with no disturbances, and the conclusion will dig deep within you and stay with you.
