Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast walked down a yellow carpet surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records showed that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account features videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further response on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Numerous of supporters had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it started.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and scored ten Academy Award nods, earning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
