Intensive Russian Assaults Cut Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and faced disruption to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to local officials.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced intense attacks during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
