Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
