Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match victorious run was ended by Sunderland before the global break, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's new album, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I won't push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's sole away victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will choose the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.

My son told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have got plenty of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

Their display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home record, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
