We open with questions from Conservative lawmaker the committee chair, who oversees the panel.
She opens by giving background to the leaked document authored by Michael Prescott and published in a daily publication.
"I don't want the BBC slanting in any particular direction, I simply desire it neutral, impartial and just," he declares.
In response to a query if he thinks the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, he answers: "No, I do not. To be clear, numerous aspects the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is world class - encompassing factual and non-factual content."
But he adds: "There is real work that needs to be done at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
A further former external BBC consultant questioned by the committee, Caroline Daniel, says she views the BBC very seriously and that it operates a "ongoing system and lively discussion" across evolving and intricate topics.
"Was the BBC willing to conduct a thorough dialogue and debate and act accordingly?" she asks herself. "From my perspective, affirmative, they were."
