Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden title for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has experienced a challenging year, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in especial - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Presently training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's first title since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to win a title is particularly special," said world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his previous six championship matches, comprising in that event earlier this year.
His counter-punching play style and regular reactions on court had caused commentators to question if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and play positively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the final five games to go ahead.
Both players traded break points in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial ATP Tour victory, took control to push for a final set.
He saved 4 early opportunities in a close deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
